Architect
For over 35 years, Nashville-based ESa, Earl Swenson, Assoc., Inc. who has specialized in architecture, interior architecture, master planning and space planning, has been involved in the research and design of hospitality facilities across the country. From master planning and site selection ESA Earl Swensson Associatesof hotels and convention centers, restaurants and spas, to space planning and furniture design, the firm's experience covers all aspects of the design process. Careful attention is paid to building placement, materials and character. Each project design properly integrates flexibility, growth, and expansion. Other specialty needs such as lighting, acoustics, mechanical systems and security are placed high on the design priority list and evaluated throughout the duration of the job. This attention to detail has resulted in national and international media attention and awards for design.

ESa believes that design is about creating environments and that architecture is a "wellness" profession, not a "shelter" profession. Combining innovation with human-centered design, ESa creates aesthetic, functional environments that respond to the needs and imagery of the individual client. As a result, Ron Lustig, AIA, ISHC, principal design architect, designed The Spa At THE HOTEL HERSHEY to replicate High Point mansion, the estate home of Milton and Catherine Hershey, complete with stained glass windows, marble landings, hardwood floors, pecan paneling and arched palladian windows.

Other projects have included designing the master plan of the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs that
includes convention/meeting room space, hotel rooms, spa, and golf and tennis complex; and all four phases of Opryland Hotel encompassing everything from guest rooms and meeting space to themed retail, restaurants, and entertainment.

The Wildhorse Saloon is yet another outstanding example of the firm's ability to coordinate within one facility, dining, production, broadcasting, entertainment and retail activities.
